Greetings From Virginia!

We are so happy to have met you at the Special Convention in Finland!

Are you interested in learning more about where we are from? Would you like to see pictures from our trip to Finland? Check out the sections below!

Where is our home?

Virginia is located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, just south of Washington D.C with the Atlantic Ocean bordering us to the east. Wondering how far away we are from famous U.S. cities? From our house, it's about a 2-hour drive to Washington, D.C. If we drive 6 hours north, we will be in New York City. Want to go to Miami, Florida? That's a 13-hour drive! And if we want to go to Los Angeles, California? That's over 38 hours without stopping! We suggest taking a plane, though, as it's only a 5-hour flight!

Virginia is located on the East Coast of the United States

What can you see in Virginia?

Virginia is a great place for bird watching, with 400 species to observe. It offers the opportunity to see coastal birds along the Atlantic Ocean, grassland species in the Piedmont (central region), and forest species in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the western part of the state.

If you head east, you will reach the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay, where you can enjoy seafood and the sun!

If you go to the west, you will find the Appalachian Mountains, more locally known as the Blue Ridge Mountains because of the blue hue they give off when viewed from a distance.

Our capital is Richmond! Here, you can find a diverse group of people who have come to study at one of the universities or the medical facilities. This provides a perfect opportunity for a successful ministry, especially when working with the carts!

Virginia is estimated to have around 20-30 species of flowering trees, the most famous of them all being the White Dogwood.

We have many trails, forests, and rivers where you can enjoy the changing colors in the autumn time.

Throughout the state, you can find many local farms that offer the opportunity to pick your own fresh fruit, such as apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and much more!

Looking for some American Southern cooking? You can find it just about anywhere. Alternatively, head to the coast for seafood, or visit the many local rivers and lakes to enjoy your catch of catfish or even crab!
